My Story:

If you have ever been outdoors you know the frustrations mosquitoes can cause. They can ruin just about any outdoor activity. The worst part is that the don’t discriminate between the backcountry or the back porch. Mosquitoes suck, literally. So, what are we as outdoors enthusiasts to do about it? Slather down in some horrible smelling bug repellent, wear a bracelet, get a bug light? There are more options than I have time to write. The trick is to find the option that actually works.

By now I’m sure you have heard of products that release a vapor that will deter these little vampires. There are a couple options on the market for sure. So, what sets the FLEXTAIL GEAR Tiny Repel apart from the others? That is a great question that I would love to dive into.

When I first saw the Tiny Repel I knew I wanted to test it out. My family suffers from whatever it is that makes them the favorite food of mosquitoes and they have horrible reactions to them. So I am always on the lookout for the next best thing. So, I worked out a sample and when it arrived, I threw it in the camping tote knowing it would come to the lake with me on our next trip.

At the lake I took the Tiny Repel out and got it fired up. Simple enough to do, just unwrap the small wafer and place it into the slot. No problem! One simple press of a button and viola you are off and running. The Tiny Repel will heat up and soon begin releasing the bug fighting vapor that we love and those winged spawn do not. There are two different settings that allow for different levels of repellent power with a 10ft zone and 30 ft zone. This will allow you to maximize your battery consumption or tailor your use for the area you need.

So, you might be asking yourself what makes this any different than the others? Well, the first major difference is that the Tiny Repel uses battery to heat the repellent wafer and not a butane cartridge. So, same features without any risk of fire? No fuel to have to take care of, no fear of catastrophic fire. It just feels like a huge win.

The next major difference s is that the Tiny Repel comes with a great built in lantern. The lantern has options from 50, 100, 200, and 400 lumens. So, you get all the light you need for any situation and, don’t forget, all while those dang mosquitoes stay away.

The last great feature is that this bad boy can be used as a power bank with a 4800 mAh battery. So, if you need to charge your phone so you can text people and tell them how amazing the Tiny Repel is, well, it’s got your back!

The last testing area I used the TINY REPEL in was during a softball tournament. I was cooking for a big group of people and I needed both light and bug repellent. Well, I had just the tool for the job! I had so many people ask about this great little gadget and everyone was very impressed with how well it kept out eating area free from those awful vermin.

No matter what the adventure Tiny Repel is the right choice for sure. It certainly made our lake a blast, and for the first time ever my daughters came home without mosquito bites. That is just unheard of! Lake life is the best life and it’s just that much better with TINY REPEL.

What can be done better?

The only items that I would like to point out are the buttons for powering on the device. They can be a little tricky if you have short finger nails. Other than that it is just a problem finding replacement repellent. I know that I can’t get out and buy that at the local store. So, some planning will be necessary prior to any trips.
